Resource Description:

This website provides suggestions of early literacy activities for infants, toddlers and preschool age children. The activity categories for infants are ; literacy learning experiences, stories and listening, scribbling and drawing, rhymes and sound awareness, vocalizing and listening,and gesturing and signing. The activity categories for toddlers are; literacy learning experiences, letters and symbols, storytelling and listening, scribbling and drawing, talking and listening, and gesturing and signing. The activity categories for preschool age children are; literacy learning experiences, letters and spelling, reading and storytelling, drawing and writing, rhymes and sound awareness, and talking and listening. The website includes adaptations to make it easier for young children with disabilities to participate in early literacy learning activities.The website also has a Spanish version.
